ENWORKS is now widely acknowledged as leading the way in delivering cost-effective environmental business support.

We are all being challenged to demonstrate value for money, reduce our carbon dependency, create new jobs for the future, and increase private sector investment in sustainable development, and our agenda has moved rapidly from the periphery to the core.

Our most recent independent evaluation, for the support we delivered from 2007 to 2010, showed that we out-performed all regional programmes of this kind, with the lowest cost-per-unit of increased sales and cost savings in businesses in the UK.

We also achieved better overall value for money than the aggregate data from all the key national environmental programmes.

Wider influence

We provide a model of business support that works for companies, for business support providers, and for funding bodies. Furthermore the model we have developed could easily be adapted and transferred to other regions across the UK, and to other organsations.

The partnership approach is flexible enough to work anywhere and our award-winning Toolkit software has already been adopted by a number of economic development agencies and devolved authorities.

ENWORKS has already influenced local and national environmental policy and we continue to contribute data, learning and experience to high profile reports and research projects, for bodies such as BIS, DECC and Defra.
