Delivery Partners
ENWORKS supports hundreds of companies of all sizes and sectors each year, primarily through advisers employed by a network of local partner organisations across the North West.
Delivering support in this way means that wherever a business is based there will always be a support provider nearby that understands and can respond to local need and is locally accountable. This flexibility enables us to respond more easily to policy and funding changes at local and national levels.
To supplement this we have commissioned a bank of specialist consultants, primarily from the private sector, to draw on for further technical advice or extra capacity where it is needed.
In 2009/10 our partnership also expanded temporarily to include seven further partner organisations in the private and third sectors, to deliver a series of 'Innovation Projects'. These allowed us to investigate the value for money of more novel, and therefore higher risk, models and types of intervention.
Where appropriate, our partners draw on services provided by national delivery bodies, rather than duplicating what is already on offer to businesses. This has involved working collaboratively alongside support providers such as The Carbon Trust, WRAP, the National Industrial Symbiosis Programme, and Business in the Community.
The range of organisations in our delivery network has changed over time, depending on the expertise required for different projects, but we always work closely with all partners to continually identify best practice and improve our services.
Our current delivery partners are:
Cumbria Rural Enterprise Agency
Groundwork Pennine Lancashire
Groundwork Oldham & Rochdale
Groundwork Manchester, Salford, Stockport, Tameside & Trafford
Groundwork Cheshire
